Because standard cast-iron pumps would quickly rust and be destroyed by harsh pool chemicals, the entire liquid-end of the XKP series is forged from a specialized, high-strength engineered polymer. This guarantees absolute corrosion resistance against heavy chlorine dosing and even saltwater chlorinator systems.
What makes the XKP series exceptionally user-friendly is its integrated pre-filter system. Pool water is constantly filled with debris—leaves, bugs, hair, and band-aids—that can easily destroy a fast-spinning impeller. The built-in, oversized strainer basket catches all this debris before it enters the main pump chamber. Instead of guessing when it needs to be emptied, the pump features a heavy-duty transparent polycarbonate lid, allowing you to visually inspect the basket at a glance and twist it off for quick, tool-free cleaning.
